About Us
SIMPLE Spinal Health and Medical Center was created to give the people in our region a very simple and convenient common sense approach to healthcare. Our integrated health center offers family practice medicine, chiropractic, complete diagnostic and lab testing, physical therapy, therapeutic massage, and many other services.
We have a complete state of the art x-ray facility and we offer computerized spinal evaluations. We are also pleased to inform back pain patients of our cutting-edge spinal decompression program. This program allows the doctors and therapists to aid patients with chronic or degenerative discs as well as acute herniation. Our ultimate goal for all our patients is to have all three disciplines, chiropractic, medical, and physical therapy, evaluate each patient from their profession's perspective and offer an integrated approach. This enables each patient to not only overcome their symptoms, but to be able to maximize their health potential and learn to maintain the corrections they achieved. In addition, at our integrated health center, many patients will have better insurance coverage for our services.

Our Plan to Recovery
The path to overall health involves many factors. A balanced diet, sufficient rest, stress reduction, and exercise are all key components to health, but there is only so much you can do with a body that is not functioning at its fullest capacity. We at SIMPLE want to help your body heal itself naturally. Chiropractic is based on the premise that the nervous system is the master system of the body; thus when it is functioning at its best, so is the rest of the body. The nervous system and chiropractic are so intricately linked because the nerve roots emerge from the spinal cord which is protected by the spinal bones. The nervous system is the communicator between the brain and the internal organs, so it is essential that the messages can be sent back and forth without interference. When a spinal bone or vertebra is out of place, then the nervous system is affected and will not be able to work as it is intended to. This phenomenon is called a subluxation, and it causes many different symptoms, from fatigue to disease (see Subluxation).
At our center, we want to fully correct your spine so your body will be self-sufficient and healthy. Dr. Barrett focuses on total spinal correction. The plan typically involves an intensive three month period of adjustments, physical therapy, and massage.
Although we are willing to do as much as we can to help, chiropractic can only go as far as you let it. It takes commitment on your part to follow through with the prescribed plan.

Our Convenience
Our services revolve around you, so we try our best to make sure you can easily access our services. We are conveniently located off of Reed Station Road, behind Golden Corral (See `Our Location`). We have flexible scheduling. Same day appointments and walk-ins are welcome (See 'Office Hours').
Affordability
Money can be a tough issue for many people. That is why we do everything we can to make sure a patient who wants care can receive it. We have numerous payment plans, cash discounts, and are Healthlink and Blue Cross Blue Shield providers. We accepts all insurance (except public aid). Almost all insurance companies cover chiropractic. It is simply a matter of how much coverage your particular insurance, depending on the company and the plan, will cover. We are willing to help inquire about insurance coverage as well.
